poet, writer, & editor
Hello! I’m Angelina Danae, the creator of From the Hand, and I’m so thrilled that you’re here, exploring my digital home.
I spent nearly a decade working as a writer, editor, and strategist in the marketing and PR world, where I quickly fell soul sick from using my skills to sell and position people and products all day.
In 2024, I left my executive role at The New Fashioned Co. to pay attention to my burnout. That season led me to a cafe down the street, where I began working as a barista. After stepping into an assistant general manager role to help run the daily operations, I quickly ended up right back where I’d been in 2024. Exhausted, depressed, and burnt out. Facing burnout again, I decided to take another risk—this time to bet on my own words.
Since then, I’ve been cobbling together freelance projects, writing with a fury, and scheming up ways to expand From the Hand to bring my writing dreams closer to reality.
